In this Comedy program, students will use short form and long form improvisation; develop characters, scenes, and situations through listening and responding in the moment; remain open to the suggestions and ideas of others; and pull comedy from the world around them. This program culminates in a showcase on the final day. We welcome students of all experience and ability levels to register, though this program is tailored for students with some acting experience. In this two week program, students will learn how to tackle heightened language, analyze plot and characters, and explore stylized movement through Shakespeare’s famous play. Students will also take a trip to AMERICAN PLAYERS THEATRE in Spring Green to see a show (camp schedule will be adjusted accordingly).
