Elephant and Piggie take to the stage in a vaudevillian romp and rollicking adventure that is perfect for young audiences. Join these two best, best, “bestus” friends as they sing and dance their way through plenty of pachydermal peril and swiney suspense. Based on Mo Willems’ beloved, award-winning, best-selling children’s books!

ADDITIONAL NOTE:

A production designed with ALL kids in mind!

In collaboration with CI Pediatric Therapy Centers and Achieving Collaborative Treatment (ACT), we are creating Elephant and Piggie’s “We’re in a Play!” to be sensory friendly. By working with designers, artists, and consultants on all elements of this production, we hope to provide a show where all youth (including those with autism or sensory communication needs) can enjoy the performance. Meet The Cast!

Darrington Clark

Gerald

Bio

After several years away, Darrington Clark returns to one of his favorite theaters and is ready to show you a play! Clark is a Kansas City, MO native but has spent cherished time in Madison (A Year With Frog and Toad, A Christmas Carol – CTM), Milwaukee (EPR Program – Milwaukee Rep, The Wiz – First Stage), and performed throughout the midwest! Love to Jake, Aly, Austin and all those who believed in him first.

Alba McCartney

Piggie

Bio

Alba is so grateful to be cast as Piggie at CTM! She has loved theater and singing since she was two, and has enjoyed many performances. Some of Alba’s favorite roles have been Matilda in Matilda the Musical and Rusty in Footloose. Alba would love to thank the whole CTM team for helping her with this role. She really appreciates the dedication her cast mates have put into the show. Alba wants to thank her best friend Lexi for supporting her!

Caroline Juergens

Caroline is excited to play Piggie at CTM, as she loved E&P books when she was little. She recently appeared in DOAWK productions at CTM (Pauline, Dance Captain) and First Stage Children’s Theater in Milwaukee (Patty Farrell); CTM’s The Little Mermaid Jr. (Sebastian), A Christmas Carol (Emily Cratchit), and Mole Hill Stories (Owl,Raccoon u/s). A 7th grader at EAGLE School, Caroline thanks everyone at CTM and her voice teacher Abby Nichols for their support.

Brynn Campbell

Bio

Brynn is so excited to return to the CTM stage for her 6th mainstage production! She is a junior at Madison West High School, where she just completed her role as a Mersister in the Little Mermaid. In her free time, Brynn enjoys playing piano, baking, listening to music, and singing with her A Capella group at school, Colla Voce! Special thanks to her family and music teachers, Abby Nichols and Mark Wurzlebacher.

Corinne Kuenzi

Corinne is ecstatic to be performing again with CTM. She most recently performed in CTM’s A Christmas Carol (Francis Cratchit), Diary of A Wimpy Kid (Patty Farrell), and VACT’s Seussical the Musical (Cindy Lou Who). Corinne is 12 years old and a sixth grader at Hamilton Middle School. She enjoys singing with Madison Youth Choirs and playing piano. Special thank you to Abby Nichols and family and friends for supporting her.

Quinn Koehler

Bio

Quinn is thrilled to be performing in her fifth CTM mainstage production! You might recognize her from various roles in Cinderella or A Christmas Carol over the last three years or in CTM’s Summer Stage production of Mean Girls. She is a freshman at Madison Country Day School and loved partaking in the Fall musical: Shaina Taub’s Twelfth Night. Special thanks to the cast and crew, her teachers and mentors, and incredibly supportive family. Enjoy the show!

Cece Erling

Bio

Cece is a 6th grader at Wright Middle School. She is active with Madison Youth Choir, The Wisconsin Youth Symphony Orchestra’s Music Maker Program, Madison Contemporary Dance Youth Company, and Studio Dansu Company, as well as singing and performing her original music for ukulele and piano. She was recently seen in Cinderella and has enjoyed CTM summer camps in the past!

Izzy Eaton

Bio

Izzy is excited to be back on stage with CTM. Her previous roles include Pounce Ensemble in Peter Pan, Dory in Finding Nemo Kids, and Lamplighter in Christmas Carol. Izzy is a fifth grader at Edgewood Campus School and loves spending time with her friends and family when she is not too busy reading any book, she can get her hands on.

Aidan Black

Aidan is excited to be joining the CTM family! He recently graduated for UW-Milwaukee with a BFA in Musical Theatre. In Milwaukee, Aidan has worked with First Stage, Skylight, Forte, and many other theatre groups in the area. Aidan is also an established theatre educator and director; you can find him teaching with CTM this spring! Love to Lo and his friends and family!

Emily Skavlen

Emily is excited to be working with CTM for the first time! Some previous credits include: Merrily We Roll Along (Capital City Theatre), Edges (Capital City Theatre), and Into the Woods (University of Wisconsin- Stevens Point). She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre from the University of Wisconsin- Stevens Point. Special thanks to Mom and Dad for all their love and support!

Lilly is a 7th grader at Cherokee Heights Middle School. Lilly loves performing and spending time with her theater friends. In addition, Lilly likes to hang out with friends, play her instruments and craft.

This show is located at the MYArts Building at 1055 E. Mifflin, Madison, WI 53703. The Starlight Theater is on the 4th floor. Come early! The Ticket Box Office is located at the reception desk on the 1st floor and opens 60 minutes prior to curtain to allow enough time for a security inspection and to find your seat. There is plenty of free and 2-hour parking on the streets in the neighborhood around MYArts and Breese Stevens Field, especially on Dayton and E. Mifflin St.
